Weather Issues

Conor and myself have had some issues with the filming of our trailer. The original plan was to film the majority of our scenes today, Sunday, the adverse weather conditions have stopped us. The reason Conor and I have decided not to film is because it may cause continuity issues as well as danger whilst filming. We feel that if we film a clip on a day when the weather is rare and we need to re film it we would have to wait for the weather to change again. We have delayed it a week with the aim to film next Sunday, 27th.

Storyboard

Conor and I have completed our storyboard, there is a storyboard animatic to follow. we have the storyboard as a brief outline to the trailer, the timing wont be as accurate as the storyboard. Conor and myself both worked on this story board and we believe that it fits our genre perfectly and if we can pull off all  of the scenes as planned we believe that it will be a very high quality piece of work. we will aim to film i as soon as we have the story board uploaded to our blog.

Diary

In the latest installment of what Conor and I are up too in our film we have decided that we will start production on our film on Sunday we have decided that we will open our film with universal pictures to show institutions and there research we will also open with a slow motion clip of a coin flicking in the air by doing this it adds tension to the scene and we will have a phrase which is ' Heads you die Tails you Live' then by the end there is a heads flick which makes the audience think that someone will die but also because of the way we have the voice over the audience wont understand who and what is leading to this build up.

Me and Alex are finishing our anamatic storyboard at the moment and hope to have it up on blogger in the next few days hopefully once we have done that we will just have to post about a few more films.

Weather Report

Recently we've been having some adverse weather such as snow and extreme frost and because we would like to keep continuity in our film we are waiting to this Sunday where even though it may be frosty we can keep continuity in the film through filming over the week period.

Props

Similar films such as the Oceans series use props such as fake money and casino chips. The money will be used to give to the villain who demands the money back. We are also using a coin in one of our vital scenes in which we flip the coin over and it is like a heads or tails decision to if someone will live or die and this adds the tension to the scene.

This fake money also adds to the scene the fact that we can use props in a way which we can use in a positive way we are also going to use props such as a gun this is to show more of what our film is about and in this case a crime film and adds a new realism to the scenes

Equipment

These are the three pieces of equipment that we used during our project. We used a DV1 shock proof camera and a tripod to film the scenes. In the scene we used the computer to access photoshop in which we transported photos from premier elements onto blogger. We also used adobe premier elements to access our film and to edit and render our film. We used mindjet manager pro 6 to assist us with some of our planning and research and to help with our evaluation activities to show what our audience liked within our film. We have a used other technology such as the i phone to introduce commentary's over the film. We used adobe software such as premiere elements and photoshop to edit and make the core of the film. Photoshop was used for most of our evaluation activities and to produce our title sequences.

We have also used network's such as youtube so that we could put our film onto the Internet. Blogger is a big part of how we were able to do our evaluation tasks. We used it to post the evaluation tasks and relevant comments on blogger. Adobe Premier was an easy software to use initially ,the editing and initial set up of the film was easy to put on to blogger. I personally found it more difficult when I had to put sound onto the film and thankfully I had a reliable and trustworthy group who could help me with that specific part of the software

I will now talk more about the film camera that we used. It is a DV1 waterproof and shockproof camera with built in usb. This allowed us to process the film onto the computer which were then put into premier elements. It was then ready for editing and rendering. The camera we had was a HDMI camera which means that it was easily accessible to upload and render our copies of our film. The camera gives the film the real look and makes everyone feel like the film has an authentic look to it.
